Towing in Newport Beach
Newport Beach is the next city down Coast Highway from Huntington Beach. Towing Huntington Beach, operated by Sunset Beach Towing, takes calls there at (714) 785-6449. The business contact address is still 16885 Pacific Coast Hwy #228, Sunset Beach, CA 90742.
The peninsula and the islands are the calls that need a careful location. Balboa Peninsula is a long, narrow grid. Balboa Boulevard runs the length of it, and a breakdown beside the Balboa Pier or the Fun Zone leaves little room to stop. Balboa Island’s streets are tighter still, with bridges on and off. If you are on the island, say the bridge you came over and the cross street. “Near the ferry” and “near Marine Avenue” are different jobs.
West Newport sits against Huntington Beach. Seashore Drive and the west end of Coast Highway pick up the same beach traffic that PCH carries through Huntington. A car that dies there should get out of the lane and into a driveway or a lot row if it still rolls.
Roads and landmarks
- Coast Highway, also called Pacific Coast Highway, from the Huntington Beach line through Mariners Mile and into Corona del Mar.
- Newport Boulevard, coming down from Costa Mesa onto the peninsula.
- Jamboree Road and MacArthur Boulevard, including the climb from the 73 toward Fashion Island and Newport Center.
- Fashion Island and Newport Center Drive, where the parking rows are large and the exits are not obvious from the aisle.
- Upper Newport Bay, along Back Bay Drive, a slow road with few places to turn around.
- Lido Isle and the harbor side streets, where a truck needs the nearest bridge, not a guess.
Corona del Mar’s Coast Highway frontage is the south end of this page. Give the cross street, such as Poppy Avenue or Goldenrod, rather than only the neighborhood name.
Flatbed loading matters here for the same reasons as in Huntington Beach: all-wheel drive, a damaged wheel, a low car, or an electric vehicle. Say which one you have. There is no published arrival time for Newport. Jamboree and Coast Highway both clog, and the dispatcher should tell you what that means for your spot.
Seal Beach is not on this page. Those calls go to sealbeachtowing.com.
