Flatbed towing in Huntington Beach

A flatbed carries the whole vehicle on the deck. A wheel-lift picks up one axle and lets the other two tires roll. Call (714) 785-6449 and ask for a flatbed when the rolling tires would be the problem.

That is the case for most all-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive vehicles, for a car with a broken wheel or damaged suspension, for a car that sits too low to clear a bar, and for a Tesla or other electric vehicle. The Tesla and EV page explains why an electric car should ride with all four wheels up. A motorcycle is a different load; that page is motorcycle towing.

Huntington Beach puts a lot of those vehicles on the same roads. All-wheel-drive cars sit in the pier parking structure on Main Street and in the lots along Pacific Coast Highway. Lowered cars show up on Beach Boulevard and on the surface streets off Warner and Edinger. None of that is a reason to guess the equipment. Tell the dispatcher what the vehicle is and what is broken.

You pick the destination: a shop on Beach Boulevard, a dealer toward the 405, or a driveway. If the car is in a parking structure, say which level. Deck height and the ramp decide whether a full-size bed can reach it, and the dispatcher would rather know that before the truck arrives.

Ask before it is hooked

Ask which truck is coming, and ask for the price of that job before anyone hooks up. The figure depends on the vehicle, the distance, and whether it has to be winched onto the bed. This site does not print a rate card.
